The children's program at RPFS is open to children from ages 5 through 13 and is designed to expose participants to the world of "mixed martial arts" with an emphasis on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, submission grappling and
general striking techniques (both standing and on the ground) gleaned from various other arts and disciplines.
Each one hour class incorporates warm-ups and calisthenics, flexibility and conditioning training, technique training and various physical fitness games (the children's favorite!) which incorporate the skills learned
in class.
Each child has the opportunity to monitor his/her own progress and advance through the RPFS exclusive "Patch" system where all participants regardless of age and/or experience will earn both Certificates (suitable
for framing) and colored patches for their Gi's or Rat Pack shirts marking their Rank and accomplishments within the Rat Pack System.
In the past two years the Children's Team at Rat Pack has garnered numerous awards including 13 North American Grappling Association (N.A.G.A.) medals (including 3 Golds!) a PaBJJ Federation Gold
Medal and three First Place Sparring awards at the 2006 Nenow's Dynasty Karate Tournament.
